(More customer reviews)The mulching ability of these blades is phenomenal. Much better than the OEM blades I was using on my Cub Cadet Z-Force 50. I don't have to mow as often now and the clippings don't build up week-after-week during the fast growth season like they used to. My only dissapointment is that these don't lift quite as well as the OEM blades so they'll occasionally miss a few blades of grass or leave some laying over, especially if mowing with the deck raised high or when the grass is particularly long.
Unfortunately, the blades I first received were ever-so-slightly too long - resulting in the blades knicking when I engaged the mower. Aparently, Oregon has discovered this and the newer ones are the proper length but there is no easy way of telling that from the product description or model number - only by serial.
Fortunately, I contacted Oregon about the issue and they sent me out a new set of blades VERY quickly. The new ones are the perfect length and they didn't ask for the originals back. I'll shorten the original ones with a grinder to have a second set around. Though I didn't appreciate the hassle of all this, I was pleased with Oregon's responsiveness and the fact that I have two for the price of one.
